Oleksii Bespalov

Senior Software Engineer

Oleksii Bespalov is a Software Engineer at Nethermind, where he works on the Ethereum execution client. He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics with a specialization in information security from the National Technical University of Ukraine’s Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

With a decade of experience in software development, Oleksii has an extensive background in developing, maintaining, and scaling blockchain-related systems, including multisig wallet and decentralized exchange. Since joining Nethermind, his contributions have included implementing the eth/69 protocol upgrade to remove pre-merge fields, adding support for state override parameters in RPC methods, and intergrating secp256r1 precompile for signature verification. Most recently, he worked on the implementation of log indexing to improve data retrieval performance. His work supports client performance, stability, and alignment with evolving Ethereum standards.

Outside of his core development work, Oleksii occasionally contributes to the gaming community by developing mods for popular titles, with a primary focus on UX improvements.
