Conor McMenamin is the Head of Protocol Research at Nethermind, where he works on Ethereum scalability, rollup architecture, MEV, and protocol incentive design. His research bridges theory and production systems, with a focus on preconfirmations, rollup decentralization, cross-domain execution, and the economic models that underpin Ethereum’s next phase. Before joining Nethermind, Conor was a Research Consultant at the Uniswap Foundation and a university lecturer, delivering courses on blockchain technologies. His background spans formal blockchain analysis, cryptography, and applied mathematics, alongside prior experience in derivatives trading, where he specialized in quantitative risk and pricing models. Conor regularly contributes to Ethereum research discussions, collaborates with ecosystem organizations such as L2BEAT, and presents work at major conferences including EthCC. His work emphasizes turning protocol research into deployable, production-grade infrastructure.
